About PFU
The goal is pretty simple; getting people to give a poop about their watersheds. From lakes, streams, ponds, and more, the actions we take either help or harm the health of our water. Poop Fairy University is meant to educate on those actions - from picking up pet waste to making sure your leaves get raked to the right place - so that you can choose to help your local water systems.
The truth is that pretty much no one wants to pollute, but pretty much everyone pollutes in some way. If PFU can help provide meaningful, memorable, and maybe a bit humorous ways to remind individuals to choose better behaviors and actions ... well, that's going to make a difference in the health of our water systems. The hope is that we can make a poop ton of positive impact.
PFU - Powered by RSPT
While the No Poop Fairy is an impressive mythical being, Poop Fairy University is run by a committed team of people who care about clean water; the Regional Stormwater Protection Team (RSPT).
RSPT members are a collective of organizations and municipalities based near the shores of Lake Superior and the St. Louis River in NW MN & NW WI. It is collaboration between local Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (dubbed MS4s), partnering agencies, and organizations. There are whole towns and townships on this team. There are whole cities on this team. There are departments, districts, alliances, officials, and more. RSPT is truly a team of teams. And they are all teaming up for cleaner, healthier water.
